Host a clothing driveThursday, July 08, 2010 - Saturday, December 31, 2011Sponsor a clothing drive at home or at work to support Second Chances:
Are you hosting a gathering, book club meeting, wedding, birthday, or anniversary party? Why not include a clothing drive or benefit for Second Chances? Ask your guests to bring their used clothing and/or financial contributions, and we will pick everything up from you after the event. If you want, we can arrange to come to your event to talk about our work. Second Chances will provide you with a special webpage for your clothing drive and/or printed materials to distribute beforehand. We can also work with you to find a convenient clothing drop-off or pick-up.
Do you work somewhere or belong to a congregation or social group that might be interested in holding a clothing drive? We can provide the website and/or materials to promote the event to your co-workers or members. We can also pick up donations at the end of the collection period, or arrange for a convenient drop-off.
Seeking clothing donationsMoving? Cleaning out your closets to make room for new clothing? Your used clothing, shoes and accessories can make a difference in another person's life -- please consider donating what you no longer need to Second Chances.
To donate: Place your clothing, shoes and accessories in a plastic garbage bag (no hangers, please). We can use just about anything that is still wearable - children's, women's and men's sizes; casual, work and dress styles; clothing, shoes and accessories. We can even make good use of household linens like towels, sheets, tablecloths, and cloth napkins.
